Over time you might have come across the term “digital evangelism,” “internet evangelism,” “online evangelism’ and other related terms. They all mean the same thing, just different words being used.
What is Digital Evangelism
Digital Evangelism is proclaiming the Good news of Jesus Christ in the digital world. We have a new world, the digital world. This is where people spend most of their time, especially those who have access to mobile phones.
The advent of the internet advanced technology, from mass media to digital communications. Proceeding to the gospel, mass media played a significant role in advancing the gospel. People like Billy Graham, Pat Robertson, the founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network, Archbishop Fulton Sheen, the first televangelist, and the contemporary Pastor Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church, amongst others, have used the mass media as a tool for evangelism.
Though the mass media still plays an essential role in spreading the gospel, there is a more excellent way: the internet world.
It was the first evangelism before it became digital.
Evangelism shows and tells the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to people as the apostles did in the Bible. It is about the death and the resurrection of Jesus.
The digital world has allowed us to do this efficiently by utilizing tools like social media, Google, and other internet tools.
Digital evangelism, internet evangelism, or online evangelism as we call it in simple terms, is the showing and telling of the gospel (the birth, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ) in the digital world.

The instruction of Jesus was
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age: Matthew 28:19-20
